Two (2) Amilcare Santini composite sculptures signed by A. Santini himself. This is a lovely sculpture of a nude Goddess with her long beautiful hair draping down her back. She stands inside of a large scallop shell covering her dignity. This beautiful sculpture appears to be of marble resin. The base is incised with "A. Santini Italy" and has "A. Santini signed vertically along the back of the scallop shell. She stands alongside Michelangelo's famous David. Amilcare Santini was born in 1910 near the city of Florence in Tuscany. At the age of twelve he became an appetence to the sculptor Colombini who became a major influence in his career. SIZE: see attached ruler photo.
