Black and white 8.5" x 11" photo print featuring the band, The Surfaris. Signed at the top right in bold black ink by the band's guitarist, Bob Berryhill. In fine condition.

(b. 1947) Bob Berryhill is a guitarist and founding member of surf band The Surfaris and co-writer, recording artist of the hit song "Wipe Out" together with Jim Fuller, Patrick Connolly and Ron Wilson. In 1960, when Bob was 13, he took a trip to the Hawaiian Islands, learned to surf and play ukulele, and two years later, "Wipe Out" was born. Today he is the only surviving band member who still actively plays with The Surfaris. Berryhill said: "Ronnie (Wilson) loved Scottish marches and sometimes played with our high school Tartan marching band. That came into play coupled with my suggestion of bongo rock-type breaks for an arrangement, a drum-solo type of song with a simple guitar melody. Ronnie started playing the famous “Wipe Out” solo and in about ten minutes we had the song together."
