Vantage Press, (1974). First Edition. Octavo (8 ¼ X 5 ¾ in., 210 X 145 mm). 169 pages. Red cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Near Fine. Hinges are sound. Priced dust jacket exhibits faint creases at spine ends and corner tips. Inscribed on the front free endpaper, “To Art Ronnie, from a new friend, Neta Snook Southern.” Together with an Autograph Letter Signed by Neta Snook Southern, dated August 12, 1980, “Dear Art, I have complied with your request to the best of my ability. Thanks for your interest. My sister and her husband live in Iowa. I’m sure they will be happy to sign but I did not think that I should send the book on to them…P.S. The T.V. script was inaccurate in many respects. I never knew Paul Mantz. He did not come to L.A. until some years after I retired. There never was drinking in the Earhart household. Mrs. Earhart was a tall and stately woman. I was never consulted about the script but when friends first viewed it, they insisted that some of the scenes be deleted. N.S.” Horizontal and vertical creases from mailing.
