Fully mounted in silver and copper, Kevin’s Lone Star spurs have overlaid, floral patterns intertwined around a 5 pt silver Texas Star on the heelband with the mirrored pattern engraved in the steel on off-side. 2 1/2", 20 pt rowels, silver engraved flower swinging buttons attached to Casey Jordan maker-marked 2-piece floral & Texas Star carved straps are affixed with Peebler’s matching buckle and keeper. Born in Denver in 1963, the Colorado native has been making bits and spurs since 1995 when fellow maker Mark Liston helped him build his first pair. Kevin’s patterns frequently utilize a distinctive design concept with one side mounted with silver, copper and/or brass overlay and the off-side featuring an identical pattern engraved painstakingly into the steel.
