Long, 38”, canvas lined, leather backed, white wooly chaps with inside pockets, basket stamped billet with a single scalloped silver concho on each side and a silver buckle stamped Jeremiah Watt / maker / sterling. Excellent cond, circa 1990s Born in 1956 in Dryden, Ontario, Canada, Jeremiah grew up around horses often competing in rodeos. He attended a saddle-making class at Texas State Technical Institute and followed as a seven year apprentice with TCA founding member, Chuck Stormes of Calgary. Watt expanded his production to simple iron spurs -- gradually broadening his repertoire after he mastered the art of silver mountings and inlays on both bits and spurs with some tutorial help from Elmer Miller in Nampa, Idaho and Dave Klesper in Southern California. After leaving Canada, Jeremiah settled in central California -- setting up shop in a ranch outside of Coalinga. He has now worked for nearly a quarter-century as a full-time saddle maker and custom bit and spur maker. He manufactures all his own saddle trees and even processed the rawhide. Watt also has a production line of bits and spurs as well as a line of high quality leather tools.
