Item/Description: Japanese hand-decorated bronze champleve enamel jardiniere or planter bowl. Meiji to Taisho period, late 19th to early 20th century. Vessel features a squat, rounded form with a flared rim and pedestal foot. Decorated with polychrome champleve enamels depicting a continuous wisteria motif in shades of blue, white, and red. Floral design is set against a textured, hand-beaten bronze ground with a traditional woven or geometric pattern.
