Includes a (non-Borein) maroon and yellow pin striped shirt, purple RV (Rancheros Visitadores) scarf plus an RV coin scarf slide -- all mounted on display mannequin Lot Includes copy of Coloring The West - Watercolors and Oils by Edward Borein featuring the photograph on the left PROVENANCE: Personal collection of Linda & Jim Grimm The JACKET, VEST & CHAPS originally belonged to Samuel R Dabney, owner of White Gate Ranch in Santa Ynez, a 5000+ acre homestead. Dabney joined the Rancheros Visitadores ride in 1933, making his 2nd trek with the incorrigible camp of the 4-Q's. Linda (Paich) Grimm bought the Borein Vest and Jacket from relatives of Sam Dabney who lived in Hope Ranch. Dabney amassed a significant estate including a large collection of Borein works, clothing and artifacts. This jacket is the same style as the one in the Santa Barbara Historical Museum and is distinctly pictured in the exhibition catalog included with lot
