Exquisitely floral carved, 19th century high back, slick fork, loop-seat California saddle with original strings, engraved silver conchos and buckles, twisted rawhide-wrapped horn, maker-marked Walker-Wegener horsehair & leather Cinch. Double-mounted silver overlaid and inlaid unmarked Visalia Catalog pattern No 78, silver overlaid and inlaid California Spurs with cutout flowers on the shanks and 4 silver spots surrounding a larger center dome. Original spur leathers perfectly match the Walker-Wegener saddle. The extraordinary Visalia Spade Bit with its gold horseshoe (Catalog Pat No 92) matches the spurs and is intricately and artistically designed and engraved on both the silver and iron spade mouth. The Bit is attached to the original 1890s Visalia Bridle, pictured in the1897 Walker-Wegener catalog No 11. PROVENANCE: By descent through the family.
