Historic Hamley Saddle with Bohlin History
The well documented personal saddle of Edward H Bohlin, built on a modified Ellensburg tree known as the Association tree, with a 14" seat, round skirts basket-stamped and floral carved with 8-slotted conchos, iron stirrups. Hamley plate on the back of the cantle bears the name Edward H Bohlin as well as the Hamley maker's mark. Ed himself added the floral carving along with the name Lillian in honor of her birth. The Association Saddle was adopted by the rodeo cowboys for bucking events. Well worn condition. EXHIBITED: Bohlin Exhibit, Autry Museum of Western Heritage, Los Angeles, Calif 1993.
