Obl. format, 11,2 x 25 cm, 18th c. quarter leather over limp papercovered boards, remains of older elaborately gilt spine with title piece, yellow edges (edges browning and stained, first title soiled and stained). Cfr. ill. € 20000/30000 Exceptional collection of 6 sets with in all 4 engraved title-pages and 105 copperplates. Clean impressions of the engravings. Contents : I : Hans Bol - Venationis, piscationis, et aucupii typi. [Antwerp], Philips Galle, [1578], engraved title (underlaid) + 47 plates. Splendid hunting scenes with i.a. elephants, lions, apes, foxes, ostriches, birds, bees, whales (p. 33), turtles, and a Brasilian way of fishing (p. 44).
