Welcome to our annual Father's Day Extravaganza Auction, which represents a very special day in Tim Chapulis' life. Since loosing his dad in December, 2005, we have held an auction on Father's Day in memory Peter Chapulis, who was a very important part of the auction business and who a strong supporter of having an auction on Father's Day to honor all fathers, past, present and future. One of the estates that will be featured in this auction is the estate of long time auctioneer and antiques shop owner, Arthur “Artie” Shaw of Torrington, CT. Over 100 lots that feature Artie's favorite items, shop contents, and his private collections, with thousands of items included in the lots. Large collections featuring numerous items will be found throughout this auction, including Arthur Shaw's reference books, private fishing collection, treasure troves of items, large jewelry lots. There will be many discoveries on auction day! Also featured from Arthur Shaw's is a beautiful horse drawn sleigh, 2 Paul McCobb Calvin Group Etageres, a rare Flying Tigers stained glass art piece, a Saber Tooth Tiger fossil (as well as additional fossil and mineral collections), tribal carvings, estate jewelry, artwork, antique carpets, and a fabulous S-Roll top desk are just some of Artie's wonderful pieces. Also featured will be furnishings from a 1764 Litchfield, CT home, as well as private collections of gold and silver coins including brilliant uncirculated silver dollars, important jewelry, currency hoard from 1930’s, antique doll collections and parts for doll making. A collection of movie memorabilia, fabulous pieces of Victorian furnishings including a Victorian Jenny Lind Secretary Desk, lighting, collection of early Hayward Wakefield era wicker baby buggies with large wooden and wire wheels. Rock N Roll memorabilia to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Lyceum of Terryville, CT will also be offered, as well as many fabulous items.
