Edward H Bohlin The Beverly Model 1930s Parade Saddle
Made for Howard Van Cortland Davis 75 years ago, this early, elegant and lightly used black Bohlin creation was last ridden in 1934 during the Santa Barbara Fiesta Days. A stellar blending of Ed’s finest floral carving embellished with intricately engraved silver mountings, the Beverly is described in the 1930 catalog as ...a saddle of rare beauty and grace. This Beverly has a 15 1/2" seat, 4 1/2" high cantle, silvered stirrups and a four-leaf-clover theme on both the square silver conchos with raised nipples, continuing on the lovely floral design. The front binding, swell caps, cantle binding, horn caps and full silver cantle with rope edge are all made of exquisitely engraved heavy gauge silver. Superb condition! Includes matching bridle, bit and breast collar
