Catalog buckle No. 370, this lightly used Edw H. Bohlin "Bronc" rider sterling silver & 10k gold oval buckle measured 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" and features a central three-dimensional 10k gold let 'er buck cowboy surrounded by gold horseshoes.
PROVENANCE: Presented to George F. Williams (1894-1965) by his son, Roger for Xmas, 1961.
George Florenz Williams was born in Scottsdale, Missouri on September 20, 1894. He grew up in Browning, Missouri and left home at the age of 18 to attend a business school in Quincy, Illinois. George moved to Wheatland, Wyoming where he managed the Golden Rule Mercantile -- the forerunner of today's J.C. Penny. He was also President of the Platte County Horse Show and was a great lover of good horses and fine saddle tack. Great condition, fine patina, c. 1961
