1830s-50s Mexican Bridle with early 20th century fancy Bit. Headstall features a stunning 3 3/4" repoussé sterling and gold or brass Lion's head with glass eyes. Bridle has twin headbands consisting of links, a sliding floral shaped concho attached to the cheeks via a clinched teeth dog's head. The leather cheeks have floral pattern square buckles and woven silver theaded, vertical pattern plus floral conchos and silver tips. Silver inlaid bit is early 20th century and features a silver inlaid Mexican charro riding a Mexican saddle atop his nobel steed
