A collection of three (3) 16" drumsticks signed by Richard Glasser and Don Peake in black ink. Glasser, a Motown recording artist who began writing music at age 14 and, by the mid 60s, when many seminal Motown artists had moved to the Los Angeles area to record their albums, Richard played and recorded with the MoWest group of studio players. Since then, Richard Glasser has enjoyed a highly successful career in the music and film industries and is now the Head of Music at The Weinstein Company. Peake, a multi-talented musician who has worked as a guitarist, arranger, record producer, and film music composer, started his professional musical career as a guitarist in 1961. Peake's talent was recognized early when he toured as lead guitarist with the Everly Brothers at the age of 21, playing in the U.S. and Europe for two years. He has played for many legendary performers under Phil Spector's production. The amazing range of musical experience led Peake to composing music for film and commercials. Peake has been involved in some of the landmark recordings of the last twenty years. Some of these have been "breakthrough" records, like his arrangements on Gloria Gaynor's Platinum Album "Love Tracks", the first disco record to become a pop crossover. Items are in excellent condition. From the collection of Ralph Sall. 10% of the proceeds will benefit the Jeremy Wilson Foundation.
