Reverse:
At centre within a cirle of beads, there are the words 'ONE PENNY in 2 lines between upper and lower ornate scrolls around a circle of beads.
The reverse features a kangaroo that's leaping to the left of the coin.The Federation star is in the back field, to the left of the kangaroo and the date.
The Australian coin will often be released each year with a a commemorative design depicting the current events of that year.
