Featured in this lot is this brass pipe tomahawk from Chippewa/ Cree artists Leonard and Laurie Many Trails circa 20th Century. Provenance: Made by Chippewa / Cree artists, Leonard & Laurie Many Trails in the 20th century, from the Many Trails Collection at the former Indian Nation Trading Post in Livingston, Montana. The pipe Tomahawk features a wonderfully and professionally crafted brass construction that shows a wooden haft that has a drilled stem that shows wrapped leather with a fringe in the bottom and shows turkey feathers that shows tin aglets and nice shaped mouth piece. The condition of this pipe tomahawk is well preserved with some slight patina to the axe head but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this pipe tomahawk is 19" x 8 3/4" x 1 3/4". The collective weight of this pipe tomahawk is 1lb 8oz. TURKEY FEATHERS
