Once a major airline operating from 1934-80 and one of only four airlines 1970-78 allowed to fly reg. schedules to Europe. Merged w/PanAm in 1980.

Both areEF cond. Founded by Stanley Hiller at 17 year old in 1942 to develop helicopters, became a popular military design, first civilian helicopter in 1949 to cross the US. 2021 company is struggling financially due to lawsuit for $9 million.

Started by Charles Kettering and Edward Deeds on the declaration of WWI in 1917 formed the originally in 1917 and in April changed the name to Dayton-Wright Co. with Orville Wright as a consultant and lending his name w/no other connection. The company supplied the DH-4 for the military, produce the first military aircraft w/retractable landing gear.
