The Silver Maple has been the official silver bullion coin of the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988.
One convenient way to buy these silver coins in bulk is with the mint roll of 25 coins. The coins come sealed in a plastic tube directly from the Royal Canadian Mint.
Struck from extra-pure .9999 fine silver, each coin has 1 troy ounce of actual silver weight (ASW). Its legal tender denomination is 5 Dollars (CAD).
The obverse design features the right-facing profile of HM Queen Elizabeth II, designed by artist Susanna Blunt. A radial line finish fills the background. Rim inscriptions include "ELIZABETH II" along the top rim, as well as the denomination "5 DOLLARS" and date "2020" along the bottom rim.
Canada's familiar national symbol, the maple leaf, appears on the reverse design. The coin's specifications "FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR" runs across the bottom rim. The purity "9999" is placed on either side of the leaf and the issuing country "CANADA" is found at the top rim. The edge design is reeded.
