What is iCollector?
iCollector helps auctioneers broadcast their floor auctions simultaneously on the Internet in real-time. This is beneficial for both the auctioneer and Internet bidders. Auctioneers have the added benefit of increasing their audience and getting higher realized values for their items. Internet bidders get access to thousands of more items that may not normally be available – everything from collections of rare coins, estate sales featuring modernist art, to antique Victorian furniture.

The difference between eBay and eBay Live Auctions
Items posted on eBay.com are sold over a 3, 5, 7 or 10 day period with bids accumulating over the length of the auction.
eBay Live Auctions stays true to the traditional method of auctioneering, albeit with a modern twist. Items posted on eBayLiveAuctions.com are opened and sold in real time with bids happening live. A single session auction may have 500 lots in its catalog. These 500 lots would all be opened and sold in one day. Starting from the first lot, each item is opened, auctioned, and sold. Bidders have the option of placing an absentee bid in advance of the auction or they can place live real time bids as the auction is taking place!
