Consisting of numerous light plates of lacquered metal (to prevent corrosion), laced tightly together for strength, thus providing protection against arrows and sword cuts. Iron helmet (missing parts) with neck guard (shikoro); russet iron mask (mempo) with throat defence (yodare-kake); full cuirass (do) toggled over the shoulder and having arm guards (kote); hand guards (tekko), as well as upper thigh defence (kusazuri) (surface wear and tears).
