Up for auction is a very large Rindskopf vase that was made between 1900 - 1905. The vase measures 13 1/2" tall.

This particular Rindskopf vase has great presence and outstanding coloration. The vase is rose-green at the bottom and gets darker as you go up. The gourd-shape mouth is a silver-grey in color.

PLEASE NOTE: the colors noted above change when there is backlighting. This particular vase has vaseline green at the bottom and it changes to ruby color with green mixed in, and the top is a silver/gold. Some of my photos shows this.

There is the presence of a pontil mark. The vase has an onion skin texture at the bulbous mouth, and is very highly iridescent. There is no damage on the vase.

The vase is 13 1/2" tall.

The Rindskopf vase was made to compete with art glass by American makers such as Tiffany and Steuben or Durand and Quezal. In Europe, the competitors were other Bohemian glass houses like Lötz and Kralik and even Pallme Koenig.
