[manuscript]<P> MUKHTASAR KITAB AL TIBB. 16th Century. 225mm x 185mm. A medical treatise derived from the works of Avicenna. Written in a Naskhi Arabic script in black and red. Staining throughout and some wear. Probably original blind-tooled and panelled fldg. leather binding. Still in remarkable condition. The work contains chapters on various diseases and ailments including diseases of the eyes, scrofula, poxes, addiction to alcohol and poisoning.<P> A translation of the flyleaf reads: ......"I am the scribe in name Abdul Aziz vin Abdul Hamid el Hamdani Abdul Rahman al Rahmani."<P> w.a.f. £200-300
