lWinchester model 1873 special order first model rifle, .44-40 caliber, 24” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, set trigger, serial #13032. The rifle retains 50-70% blue overall, some drifting to brown and scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting with absolutely no cleaning and a nice out of the attic and untouched look. The hammer shows 75-85% case hardening, the lever shows 30-50% case hardening, the loading gate show 30-40% original blue, the dust cover shows 30-40% original blue. The buttplate shows 30-50% case hardening within a browning patina. The original sights and small parts are retained. The set trigger is not working. The action is good, the bore is generally good with mostly bright areas but some areas of darkening that may clean to very good. Hard to fine first model 73’s made in the early frontier era, circa 1874 or 75 in this nice untouched condition. Est: $10,000 - $14,000
