Mata Ortiz Sgrafitto Bowl - Silvia Villa. This is an amazingly beautiful, intricate designed bowl. There are rows and rows of different colored, different shaped designs incised into the bowl. There is also incised fined lines in the background tan. In the bottom, there are two magnificent elks. The outside is also filled with the intricate rows of designs and two elk. The artist left a signature on the rump of one of the elks on the bottom of the bow. This bowl would be the centerpiece of any pottery collection. Measures 3''Hx12''W. Mata Ortiz is a small village in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The potters of Mata Ortiz create contemporary works of art, often incorporating Mimbres designs shared by the Southwest, Native American cultures.

Items not paid for upon the non pay warning, will be relisted for resale within 10 days. You represent that you are over the age of 18 and can enter into legal contracts. *** The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser, regardless of the time the bids were placed. In the event of a tie between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute.
