HB-149 EP-49 3¢ Hunt & Nash Irving House About New. The case shows almost no sign of circulation, and it is a glossy natural light-brass color. The stamp has dulled somewhat, but that is this rare piece's only problem, as the mica is virtual perfection. This piece is not priced in the Hodder-Bowers book, and they comment that under five examples are known. Encased Postage stamps are one of the few remaining areas of numismatics where truly rare items can be obtained for a nominal fraction of the cost of more-mainstream rarities. This could easily be the finest of only five known examples, yet it is likely to realize under $2000.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
