Absolutely one of the best looking Victorian pitcher you can find. First off, color: A deep, rish cranberry color at the top, and then gradually fades to a lighter cranberry at the bottom. The top is square in shape. It measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". The pattern is reverse thumbprint. At the very bottom is a large polished pontil. What really does it for this piece is the handle. It is a twisted rope handle that is also braided. It goes completely around the neck, and twists, and then comes out braided into a handle. It then splits into two separate pieces and is applied by using glass rossettes prunts. There is no damage, no heat checks to the handle. PERFECT. The whole pitcher is perfect. I believe, and I am not positive, but the maker is either New England Glass Company or the Hobbs, Brockunier Company. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ONE.
