[George Armstrong Custer] Choice Civil War-date carte-de-visite Photograph of Custer by Mathew Brady, published by E. & H.T. Anthony of New York. A c.1864 image of Custer, seated, in profile with long flowing blonde hair and handsome mustache in overall in sharp condition with excellent contrast. This original Civil War Period Carte de Visite of General George Armstrong Custer measures about 2.25" x 4" with a sharp central portrait image showing Custer in his Union military uniform, seated facing left. Backstamp reads, “Published by E&H.T. Anthony, 501 Broadway, New York. From Photographic Negative in Brady’s National Portrait Gallery”. A very nice example.
