Civil War Handcolored Lithograph Print titled, “Battle of Baton Rouge, LA. Aug. 6th, 1862,” with subtitle below, “Death of Gen’l Williams.” It measures 15.5” x 11.5” (by sight), and is Framed to an overall size of 18.5” x 14.5”. The dramatic image depicts Civil War Union General Thomas Williams as he is felled by enemy gunfire. The Battle of Baton Rouge was a victory for the Union, despite General Williams’ death. Light even age tone and appears very pleasing. Not examined outside of frame. A scarce print, still in its apparent original frame.
