Original vintage Hand-Engraved Steel Printing Plate measures (47mm x 75mm x 4mm thick), measuring 1.75” x 3” x 3/16” thick with the serial number marked below the image as V-40166. This impressive Steel Printing Plate depicts the Revolutionary War Surrender of British General John Burgoyne to General Horatio Gates, after the British defeat by American forces at Saratoga. Side border designs show: Bushel of Wheat at left, with Militaria and Spear at right. Pleasing clean silver-gray surfaces. The back of the plate unfinished as made and intended. Accompanied by its original antique protective cardboard sleeve. (2 items)
