Includes a circa 1800 Kiapkwa polychrome bowl, with a cream slip decorated inside and out with black and dark red paints, with interior rim swags typical of the type, the exterior with typical stepped triangles; 3.75" high x nearly 8" diameter: AND a globular Zuni jar, decorated with a panel of birds in red and black paint, the shoulder with a panel of geometric motifs; 6.5" high x circa 8" diameter. Deaccessioned from the Western Reserve Historical Society of Cleveland, Ohio. The bowl badly damaged and repaired, though all pieces present, and restorable. Old paper inked label "Moqui Pottery from [illegible] Wetherall" suggesting collected by one of the Wetherill brothers sometime in the late nineteenth century. Second with major repaired coil break, missing a 1.5" section in body, and suffering from exfoliation.
