Artist Biography:
The Zhou Brothers, Shan Zuo and DaHuang Zhou, were born in 1952 and 1957 in China. They studied art as well as drama, and both received MFAs from the National Academy for Arts and Crafts in Beijing. Their style developed into one of collaboration, comprising painting, performance, and sculpture. Their aesthetic is based on a combination of Eastern and Western philosophy. Their work became widely recognized, and they won the National Prize of Chinese Avant-Garde of the Ministry of Culture, and the Prize for Creativity from the United Nations Peace Corps. Seeking an environment in which to expand their art, they left the political confines of China for the U.S., where they settled in Chicago, where they are now based.
Their work can be found in private and public collections around the world, including, in Shanghai, China, the National Gallery and the International Cultural Palace, and in Chicago at the United Airlines offices, and Encyclopedia Britannica. The brothers also established their Zhou B. Center in Chicago as a large gallery space to exhibit an eclectic variety of visual artists.

Entire Agreement; Waiver. This Agreement, including the Universal’s User Agreement and all exhibits and other documents are incorporated herein by reference, set forth the entire understanding and agreement of the parties and supersede any and all other written or oral agreements or understandings between the parties as to the subject matter of this Agreement. In the event of an inconsistency between this Agreement and any other document, which is part of this Agreement, the terms of this Agreement shall govern. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I or Universal Live Auctions may amend this Agreement (including any incorporated documents) by posting the amended terms on any Universal site, emailing notice of the amendment to the Buyer, or otherwise communicating such amendment to the Buyer. Each amendment will be effective immediately after it is initially posted on any Universal site, emailed to the Buyer, or otherwise communicated to the Buyer. The waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not operate or be interpreted as a waiver of any other or subsequent breach. The laws of the State of Illinois shall govern this Agreement and all transactions with Universal Collectibles, Universal B&I and Universal Live Auctions. REV. 2008-01
