Zap Comix #0, File copy (Apex Novelties, 1967) CGC NM- 9.2 Cream to off-white pages. Along with Zap #1, this is the most important underground comix ever published. The classic cover by Robert Crumb is one of his most reproduced images and widely recognized by the comics community and the public at large. All of the interior pages are by Crumb, as well as the back cover. For comic collectors, is a hoot! This copy is from the first printing of just 5,000 and is from the collection of Don Schenker of the Print Mint that was sold by Sotheby's in 1997. Although published shortly after Zap #1, it was actually drawn first and so was number zero. This is a very sharp NM- copy with only a couple of minor stresses. There is no up-to-date Price Guide for underground comix, but one is currently in the works. When published, it is certain to accelerate the market. A smart collector would be wise to pick up this significant and recognizable issue now. According to the CGC census, this is the second highest-graded copy. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. Sometimes eBay Premier live bid software cannot keep up with that pace, so we strongly recommend that you place a realistic proxy bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Premier carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
