American writer (1872–1939) best known for such Western and adventure novels as Riders of the Purple Sage. Vintage sepia matte-finish 20.5 x 13 photo of Grey taking in the splendor of the desert, signed in purple fountain pen, “On the heights above Monument Valley, Zane Grey.” In very good condition, with a few creases, rippling, tears along the edges, and paper loss to the bottom left corner.
