<B>Zachary Taylor: Very Rare 1849 Reception Silk Ribbon in Superb Condition.</B></I> Not to be confused with the similar design from his Inaugural (a ribbon which is itself quite nice, but not so rare as the present variety), it is dated February 16, 1849. Above Taylor's portrait is a patriotic eagle with the streamer featuring his famous quote, "A little more grape, Capt. Bragg." Taylor ribbons are among the rarest of nineteenth century candidates. This one is in beautiful, pristine condition. 2" x 5.5".
