ZHUKOV, GEORGI K.
(1896 - 1974) Soviet Field Marshall, perhaps the greatest general of World War II, he survived crushing poverty and Stalin's purges to command the Russian armies at the monumental battles of Moscow and Kursk, and in the taking of Berlin. Scarce war-date D.S. 2pp. 4to., Kiev Military District, Nov. 28, 1940 in which Zhukov issues an order regarding a series of courses to be given at the V. I. Lenin Academy's military-political Kiev branch. Hours for classes are set, with responsibility for student attendance given to unit commanders, and so on. Very good.
