Blue border and print. Vignette upper left 4-4-0 tender and cars passing miners w/mine in background. TRi-fold, some discoloration left border, EF cond.
The Southern Pacific decided to build a short route RR to Montague, bypassing Yreka. The Yreka citizens decided, so as not be without rail service, to build their own RR to haul passengers and freight opening Jan. 1889. Yreka Railrad was re-incorporated in 1933 as the Yreka Western Railroad Co. . Willis Kyle acquired the railroad in 1853 forming the Willis Kyle Railway empire. It was eventually sold in 1999 to Rocky Mountain Railway And Mining Museum in Denver, who then sold it Railmark Holdings Inc. in 2016. Yreka California Ken Prag Collection
