Celebrated Canadian photographer (1908–2002) best known for his portraits of the leading cultural, scientific, and political figures of his time. TLS, one page, 6.25 x 8.25, personal letterhead, January 16, 1963. Letter to an admirer. In part: “I have had the pleasure of visiting Arizona, Phoenix to be exact, a few years ago…It also happens that I expect to be again in Phoenix for the last week of this month on some photographic assignment and I shall doubtless pay a visit to the Art Museum to see the hanging of my exhibition.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges, missing top right corner tip, scattered creases, surface loss along top edge, and mounting remnants to reverse.
