Younger, Cole and Bob. Robert Ewing "Bob" Younger (1853-1889) and Thomas Coleman "Cole " Younger (1844-1916) were outlaws, who, along with their brothers Jim and John Younger, and Frank and Jesse James, made up the infamous James-Younger Gang. Beautifully matted with an image of a train robbery and a name plaque and framed to an overall size of 17 x 13 in. Very attractive and ready for display.

Bob was the youngest of the Younger brothers; the three older brothers had ridden with Quantrill's raiders during the Civil War. After the war, they joined up with Frank and Jesse James and robbed banks, trains, and stage coaches throughout Missouri and Kansas. In 1876, after a bank robbery gone bad in Northfield, Minnesota, Cole, Bob, and Jim Younger were captured and sentenced to life in prison. Bob died of tuberculosis in prison. Cole and Jim were paroled in 1901. Jim couldn't cope and soon committed suicide, but Cole got religion and lived a model life thereafter.
