Young Men #24 (Atlas, 1953) CGC Apparent VF/NM 9.0 Moderate (A) Cream to off-white pages. This is a very significant issue in Marvel history, as it's the first comic book of the company's brief "superhero revival" period that brought back the Human Torch, Captain America, and the Sub-Mariner. The issue not only recaps the origins of all three heroes, but also explains what they had been doing for the last four years! The Torch story has great Russ Heath art, plus the shocking revelation that the Torch killed Hitler (hmm, the Fuehrer's remains were charred, after all...)! The Captain America story has John Romita Sr. art and a Red Skull appearance (this being the 1950s, he's cooperating with some "reds" of another kind), and the Sub-Mariner story has Bill Everett art, a Betty Dean appearance, and even Subby sporting a business suit! CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, splits sealed, cleaned, re-glossed, reinforced." Overstreet 2005 GD 2.0 value = $292; VG 4.0 value = $584; FN 6.0 value = $876; VF 8.0 value = $1,825; VF/NM 9.0 value = $2,813.
