<B>Young Allies Comics #1 (Timely, 1941) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white pages.</B></I> This seminal first issue features the origin and first appearance of the Young Allies. The cover image of Bucky slamming the Red Skull into Hitler was altered after a preview advertisement, for the issue, in <B>Human Torch</B></I> #5. It originally had Stalin with Hitler but when Russia became an ally, Stalin was dropped from the cover. Jack Kirby and Syd Shores handled the cover art. This issue also introduced Captain America to the Human Torch. A very nice unrestored copy. CGC notes, "2 small pieces of tape on centerfold." Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $4,083; VF 8.0 value = $10,208.
