The lot features a nice hand-woven basket from the Yurok Native American Indian dating to the 1950’s. The basket shows a polychrome mineral dyed geometric design in natural brown, black, green and reds. The basket shows a willow branch, willow and other fiber woven design in very good condition with a nice woven lip and marked on the bottom “168” with an old tag. The Yurok have traditionally inhabited the northwestern region of California. Today, many of the Yurok people still live on the Yurok reservation along the Klamath River. This piece measures 7 1/4" in diameter by 3 3/4" tall.
