<B>Yoruba (Nigeria)</B></I><BR>Female Twin Figure, <I>ere ibeji</B></I><BR>Wood, indigo, beads<BR>Height: 10 ¼ inches Width: 3 7/8 inches Depth: 3 ¾ inches<BR><BR>Similar to other examples here, she has beads strung around the waist, and three deep vertical slashes on the cheeks which represent scarification marks. There is a small crack down the proper right back and a large drying crack at the front of the base.<BR><BR>Provenance: Nigel Wolff, Washington, D.C.<BR>H.
