Yogi Berra & Whitey Ford Signed (By Both) Orig Painting
Known as much for his catching abilities as his Yogi-isms, Yogi Berra played on 10 World Series championship teams and appeared in 14 World Series with the New York Yankees. Berra was selected to the All-Star team every year from 1948 to 1962 and was a three-time American League MVP. He called three no-hitters, one of them Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Edward Whitey Ford's control and precision as pitcher of the New York Yankees is what led team manager Casey Stengel to refer to him as the money pitcher. The eight-time All-Star won 10 of his 22 World Series appearances, the most pitcher appearances ever, and earned the Cy Young Award in 1961. The Chairman of the Board, a nickname given to him for confidence and intelligence on the mound, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. This One-Of-A-Kind Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford New York Yankees Original Painting by Well-Known Sports Artist, Longordo, is personally hand-signed by both Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford with a blue Sharpie marker. The painting is also hand-signed by the Artist and dated '03. The painting was created using the finest pigments and media and is guaranteed not to fade or crack. The medium is Acrylic & Prismascolor on Canvas. The unframed dimensions are 20" X 24". The condition of the painting is excellent. A serially numbered, destructible eggshell tamper-proof seal is affixed to the painting and it is accompanied by a tamper-proof, forge-proof, copy-proof Certificate of Authenticity from Elaine's Fine Art. The COA also has a matching serially numbered seal affixed to it. Any tampering with the seals causes the seal to fragment, making it impossible to reuse, further insuring the authenticity of the item. The purchaser is also recorded as the registered owner. If the item is a gift, please indicate the name, street address, city, state and zip code of the recipient, before making payment, so that the COA can be registered to them.
