Yellowstone Park Transportation
Yellowstone Park Transportation (DE) 1929. #26. 96 shs. Extraordinary vignette of a stagecoach silhouetted in black against yellow hills with pine trees. VF+.
Yellowstone National Park was the first, and perhaps the finest, national reserve set aside by the United State Government. The vast, 3,350 square mile park lies largely in Wyoming, but includes a part of Montana as well. Providing transportation into the park required a large capital investment, and Yellowstone Transportation was organized in 1909 to accomplish that task. Note the low serial number and the high quality of this example. Unknown to the collecting fraternity until recently, this is one of the most unusually graphic certificates.
