Glossy 10 x 8 photo of Canutt atop a bucking bronco, signed and inscribed in black felt tip “To Jane Mendoza, with the best of Western wishes—Sincerely—Yakima Canutt.” On the reverse, Canutt pens an ALS describing the photo. In part: “This picture was taken in Wall Walla Washington…the year of 1917…The horse’s name is Culdasac a horse sold by George Drumhiller…the horse was sold to him by Jackson Sundown—the greatest Indian rider of them all.” Light overall impressions from letter on reverse, and a few light corner tip creases, otherwise fine condition.
