Dull-green Yueh pot, nicely formed with Tao'T'ieh Mask Handles and three concentric bands or panels of decoration around the upper body. The glazed, rolled rim is fine and the lower unglazed region has fired to a reddish tan, with the base being coated with a pigmented slim (probably to less the likelihood of sticking in the kiln). 6-1/4" wide to the handles, and 3-3/8" tall. The glaze was covered by a clear slip which shows at the lower body below the glaze proper. Han to 6-Dynasties, and virtually perfect.
