The bulbous form has two sets of paired lug handles at the faux shoulder line, and a similar raised line above Lotus lappets that come up from the footrim where the Qingpai glaze ends in slightly pooled drips. The 3-5/16" diameter cover has nicely incised floral decoration while the body of the jar is covered in single cloud curls: in unique triangle formation at the top, and singles elsewhere (as opposed to the regular "double curls" usually seen on Jades and other traditional handiworks). The Lotus lappets indicate this likely is a Buddhist container, but the exact contents intended for it to house escapes me. Fish paste or some other food flavoring is suggested by its size and covering, but if it was used as a ritual container then the possibilities are to found somewhere else. 6-5/8" tall including the flat cover, the body about 5-3/4" across, and perfect.
