Mottled calf with gilt border, gilt edges, five raised bands and sections with elaborate gilt tooling, gilt red morocco label, marbled endpapers. Engraved frontispiece illustration, fold-out map near front. Good. Cover is split/detached from spine. Edgewear, loss of leather on corners, spine label only partially extant, rubbing and scratching; minimal foxing/toning; torn area on pastedown where a bookplate was removed.
