A grouping of six drawings, two appearing to depict artist Maynard Dixon. Martinez shared a San Francisco studio with Dixon before the earthquake and traveled with him to Guadalajara, Mexico for a two-month drawing trip in 1905. Mother and child (possibly from his "Indian Madonna Series"). 4.) A man in fringed boots. 5.) Standing portrait of Cortez (folded). 6.) "Cortez, the Buzzard". Signature: Three signed with monograms; the others unsigned. Date Created: c. 1900s. Medium/Ground: Ink on tracing paper; pencil on paper; charcoal on paper; charcoal/pastels on cardboard.
